Whale and dolphin watching<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0is a unique experience for your holiday. During a boat trip on the\u00a0<\/span>Tenerife<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0, You can admire these magnificent mammals in their natural habitat. And when the dolphins are in a good mood, they also enjoy performing acrobatics in the water. There are few places in the world where dolphins and whales can be spotted so freely, and the island of Tenerife is one of them.<\/span><\/p>\n

Sightings of whales and dolphins in the waters of Tenerife. Pilot whales and bottlenose dolphins inhabit the coastal waters of Tenerife and are frequent during whale watching excursions. Sperm whales, sei whales or killer whales are also occasionally sighted, but with these \u00abmigrants\u00bb this largely depends on whether the visitor has taken advantage of the right moment. <\/span><\/p>\n

Dolphins usually stay in groups close to the shore; the further out to sea they go, the larger the groups become. Mothers with calves, which also form small groups, are always impressive. Spring and autumn are ideal times to see dolphins, as these mammals travel the waters of Tenerife to and from their feeding grounds. <\/span>A boat trip around Tenerife is a wonderful way to enjoy this unique spectacle. The best opportunities for whale and dolphin watching are in the south and southwest of the island.<\/span><\/p>\n
